Louisville International Airport, Business Edition

Louisville International Airport (SDF) covers over 1,200 acres and is Kentucky's busiest airport. The airport is just 10 minutes from downtown, making it easy for business travelers to get in and out of town. The city itself is famous for bourbon and baseball - and, of course, the Kentucky Derby. But if you're here for business travel, you may find yourself spending a little time at the airport. It's a good thing there are plenty of shopping and dining options to take advantage of.

If you have a little extra time here while you're waiting for your next flight or a client meeting in Louisville, don't fret! There is plenty to do and there are a lot of great places to eat in the main terminal as well as Concourses A and B. The Arrivals level is where you can find baggage claim, rental cars and information counters. On the Departures level, you will find ticketing, shopping and food.

Main Terminal

Here are some of the shopping and dining options you'll find in the main terminal.

Book and Bourbon Southern Kitchen: Indulge in some real Southern cooking at Book and Bourbon before you go through security. You can sample some of their delicious fried foods and pair your meal with a Kentucky bourbon after a long day of work.

Starbucks: Sometimes you need a coffee before the security waiting line to power you through your business trip. Stop off at Starbucks to order a caffeinated beverage and pick up a snack if you're hungry.

24-Hour Flower Center: Client's birthday and you forgot to bring a gift? Grab a bouquet at the 24-hour Flower Center just outside the security checkpoint to surprise and delight at your next deal.

Brooks Brothers: In case you're in need of formal attire on your business travels, check out this Brooks Brothers to get some upscale clothing. It's a great shop to purchase gifts for clients and colleagues, too.

Kentucky Bourbon Trail: Stop here to purchase local gifts, souvenirs and specialty items you can only find in Kentucky. It's a great way to woo that client you're on your way to meet.

The Comfy Cow: If you want a laid-back meal before heading through the security checkpoint, try The Comfy Cow. It's a casual dining option with a range of southern food on the menu, perfect for a quick business meeting.

Concourse A

Chili's: If you're in the mood for Tex-Mex, head to Chili's. It's a reliable chain restaurant with a fun atmosphere.

CNBC News Express: This sundry store has everything you need while you wait, including newspapers, travel accessories, snacks and cold beverages.

Concourse B

Farmer's Market: Check out the Farmer's Market for some grab-and-go snacks that you can eat at your gate or bring with you on the plane.

Smashburger: Smashburger offers delicious and quick burgers and other sandwiches that you can depend on even if you're in a rush.

Coals Artisan Pizza: If you want to sit down for a delicious rustic pizza, head to Coals Artisan Pizza. They have other things on the menu as well, but most people flock here for a slice.

Wave 3 News: Here you can grab last-minute items you need before getting on your flight, like toiletries, snacks, reading material and more.
